Thing 12: Apps #1 – Supporting practice

I found this ‘Thing’ interesting as I learned about apps which I could use to support my practice. I tried to download a few of the apps recommended but was unsuccessful. On the list recommended the app that I have used was Safe Med - Medication Administration. This app was recommended to me be a tutor at a training session I took part in.

I found this app very useful as in my usual job role I do not deal with medication on a regular basis. After finding out about this app and downloading I felt more confident that if I had any questions, I would be able to find some guidance on this app as I knew it was from a trusted reliable source.

This app was very easy to use and set out clear. I liked that you could search for the topic you wanted more information about and that information was very accessible at any time. I liked that from the app you could access the modules again. This linked with the training I had participated in.

The app was free, and I feel that this is very good quality from a free app.  I have no concerns about security of this app as you do not need to insert any personal information

I am able to use this app in my practice as if I can refer to it on a regular basis as a refresher for information or if I need more information. This overall will make me feel more confident within my job role knowing this information is available to me.
